Anti-corrosion coating 

SP-5208 is a one-pack chlorinated rubber top coat with the following properties

  One-pack top coat, sharp paint, easy to apply.

  Resistant to wear, salt water, splashes of mineral oils, aliphatic solvents.

  Excellent corrosion resistance against acids, alkalis and certain organic air.

  Excellent resistance to climatic, undercoat with excellent adhesion.

 

 Application Areas

SP-5208 is recommended for long time corrosion protection of structural steel and concrete in acids, alkalis and other chemical concrete environments. Typical areas are steel buried in aggressive chemical engineering machinery, pipelines of steel and concrete, equipment, warm water or steel and concrete in sewage treatment plants. Under medium pollution heavy of the environment, it is used as a protecting film after SP-533X epoxy primer or zinc rich primer.

Practical coverage depends on surface roughness and application.

Resistance to chemicals and other20:  Grey

Acid resistance (sulfuric acid, 10%; hydrochloric acid, 10%), alkali resistance (sodium hydroxide, 10%), salt water resistance (3%), water resistance:

30 days,no blistering, no peeling, no obvious color change

Artificial accelerated aging resistance:  

500h,chalking≤2, fading≤2, no blistering, no peeling, no cracking.

Salt spray [fog] resistance:    500h, no blistering, no peeling, no rusting.

Shelf life:                  Store in cool, dry conditions, in original unopened containers. 12 months from time of production.

 

 Application instructions

Application must be conducted by qualified contractor and specially trained builders.

Surface preparation:       The surface must be completely clean and dry at the time of application, over drying primer base must be dressing  

by coated abrasive. The surface of prefabrication primer must be completely clean and dry at time of application, fresh water wash to remove all dirt contamination.

A primer other than SUPE product should be checked or approved by both sides.

Application and drying:    0-40(substrate surface and ambient air)

Relative humidity:         Max. 85%     

Mix ratio:                 A park              

Product mixing:        Stir well before use, and adds the thinner SP-X501 depending on application methods.

 Safety Precautions

  Handle with care. Before and during use, observe all safety labels on packaging and paint follow all local or national safety regulations.

  This goes for personal protection such as, but not limited to, protection of lungs, eyes and of the skin, medical treatment in case of swallowing the paint or in case of other direct contact with the paint.

  Take precautions against possible risks of fire or explosion as well as protection of the environment. Apply only in well ventilated areas and ensure that adequate forced ventilation exists when applying paint in confined spaces or when the air is stagnant.

 

 Notes

  Film thicknesses: May be specified in anther film thickness than indicated depending on purpose area of use. This will alter spreading rate and may influence drying time and recoating interval. Normal range is 70-80 micron.

  Service temperatures: SP-5208 is periodic resistance to temperatures 60(maximum) and intermittent resistance to temperatures 80 (maximum). As SP-5208 is a thermoplastic prolonged mechanical exposure at temperatures above approximately 40 may cause film indentation. When temperature drops below, mechanical strength is recovered.

  Resistant to salt water but not to aromatic solvents, animal and vegetable oils or fats
